Background

Dr. Weylman has maintained an independent practice of psychotherapy and consultation for adults, couples, and college students since 1993.  Prior to expanding her office to full-time private work, she worked for ten years in college and university counseling centers at the Bureau of Study Counsel at Harvard University, Emerson College, and Boston College.     Earlier in her career, she worked in outpatient and inpatient mental health settings in the Boston area including Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and the Massachusetts Mental Health Center.

Dr. Weylman is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Massachusetts Psychological Association, the Psychodynamic Couple and Families Institute of New England, and the Massachusetts Association for Psychoanalytic Psychology.  She has been active in psychotherapy training and supervision and has served on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and the Boston University School of Medicine.  After her undergraduate education at Brown University and Wellesley College, Dr. Weylman earned her Ph.D. in  Clinical Psychology at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She completed her APA predoctoral internship training through Harvard Medical School at the Massachusetts Mental Health Center, and received her license to practice psychology in Massachusetts in 1993.
